Then and now

Hi Cuckooites, our feature for next month will be Titled then and Now.We are asking all of you to send in a photo of yourself or some one in the family taken when you grew up as a Kid or teenager.
Then please send along with this photo a recent one taken of that person as you look today. We can have a lot of fun with this and Also include them in our new book we are working on.
Del Southern also informs me that Best of Britain is going to publish his article that he has written on the Cuckoo estate after the war years.Del also said they may be interested on a article about our group Cuckooites and how we came about.Lot's of interesting things happening.

Have a good month Tommy.

The magazine is actually called, 'The Best of British,' and is available from all good newsagents throughout the world. The article is a short history of the Cuckoo up until we all began to move on, and will be in edition number 151 on sale from January 27th, I think. They feature loads of articles to evoke memories from our past and those golden days which are no more. Del.

I will send some photo's in Tom, but first I will have to scan them into my computer, and as my printer is not permanently set up I just have not had the time get it out ( The Computer that is.) I will get round to it as soon as I can. There is one in particular I have found of me, Alfie Coles from (Harp Road,) Roma Vulga and Maggie Gibbsfrom Brants Walk taken at the Seagull R&R night. While I am on this subject I thought this page was a very good idea. But have just been thinking, I bet quite a lot of our folk have interesting pictures but no way of getting the on their computers to send to you Tom. ( Any Idea's Anyone ? )

Yep, same problem here as my scanner is not currently connected. But, then again, when I was young I was very far from the Cuckoo Estate and that wouldn't count, would it?

Hi Tom , Jimmy is right its not that I dont want to send the photos, but as we have moved, I have nowhere to set the printer up. I have plenty of recent ones taken from my camera but the old ones, I cannot get on to send you. I dont mind sending you my origionals, for you to copy but I would want he originals back. You already have some of Brian when he was young and one of the both of us, also one of me as a teenager, so I suppose they could be used, let me know what you think I should do please. glad you are getting on your feet.

If you don't have a scanner but you do have a digital camera here's what one can do.
Take a photo of the old photo with your new digital camera, try and avoid flash bounce, upload the new digital copy and send it to Tommy as an attachement via email.
The quality will not be as good as a scanned version though.

Yvonne I am glad you know what I am thinking cos' I am in no state to to have a coherent thought. I've had more than a few drinks. So can we change the subject and talk about NBKs, so I can go to bed dreaming I am fourteen again. And please behave yourself because I know what you are thinking as well, You Bad Girl.
