I of course do know the names of the people. They are all cuckooites, but I will wait a few days to see if others can put a name to them. I will say that the families of both girls contribute to the site. The picture was taken at The Seagull Pub's weekly R&R dance circa 1957 at Lady Margaret Road Northholt. In the other photo the building in the background is part of the lovely Leeds Castle, me on the right with another cuckooite

Some times when I am dressed, solid muscle can be miss taken for fat. But you should see me in the buff then you would notice the difference. But you are not going to so eat your heart out Yvonne.

Phew! what a relief. What were you suggesting Jim, are muscle and flab the same? as when i grab a handful I also convince myself its muscle so i can then carry on eating my chocolate bar with no worries.

Jim I knew those girls were familiar but couldn't put a name to them. Roma was in my class at junior school. Maggie Gibbs I also remember as she was so pretty.
I knew that was Ken Bunting with you as I have seen photos of you and him on the web before, a couple of years back.

Hi Val yes Maggie was very pretty and she was also a very nice person. Alf he fancied Roma, and you can see I liked Maggie. Looking at the picture it might seem like we were closer than we really were. But no we were just two young bucks trying our luck. The girls would have none of it though. Which I must admit I found very disappointig, but we were good friends.

I've just remembered - Maggie was known by us as "Midge".

You are right Vab I had forgotten that we did sometimes call her Midge. I chose that particular photo from the past because two of the Gibbs brothers come to the site from time to time. As do people connected to Roma, I thought thay might like to see both girls from way back when. Perhaps they will miss seeing it, but I should think other people will know them as you do.
