Perhaps someone can help me here. How long can you keep a chicken in the fridge?

tags said...

If it's tied up and can't fly out, I should imagine you could keep it there as long as you like, but it will probably freeze to death eventually.

yvonneh said...

Oh dear Jim, found something that baffles even you. If it is frozen up to 1 month depending on the coldness of your freezer. If its fresh and dead 3 days approxiamately. If it is live with feathers ask, I think it was Grace from Greatdown, how to wring its neck, or if you were really kind build it a run in the garden and let it live.

Oh dear no it baffled you Yvonne, cos I put one in the fridge last night and it was dead this morning. Ner! Ner!

jim davis said...

Sorry John yes you've got the idea, and Yvonne wondered why men are so condescending to women. I guess she wont want me to answer that now.

yvonneh said...

Sorry Jim I forgot the way a males mind works it never seems to grow up, carry on boys its certainly amusing for us superior women.

yvonneh said...

Hmmmm, Just had toad in the hole and bubble and squeak, with onion gravy. perhaps thats where your archers fa-mouse got to Jim in the squeak bit of my bubble

georgek said...

Does your bubble really squeak Yvonne?

yvonneh said...

Does when I put it in the skillet and turn up the heat, although I keep thinking that the squeak might be coming from the little creature with whiskers that hides under it, whatever it is it tastes nice and crispy.
Tea tonight was kippers, lovely and tasty, crispy skin and lots of bread and butter, waiting for the nice herrings to arrive, so I can souse them. Especially the ones with the hard roe in, mouth is watering already.
