It doesn't look like Yvonne is interested in sport any more, I wonder why? Hee! Hee!

Jim you are a real tease! Leave Yvonne alone. By the way after trailing through the site yesterday I saw your remarks about a drunken woman who likes to sing dirty songs. Who is she? Can't be me, I'm as good as gold.

jim davis said...

Actually Val B as you well know it was a quote from you. All I know is, I hope it does not give the rest of us Cuckooites a bad name through association.

Thanks for your support Val. If Jim had taken the time to look, I had lots of points to make on last months sports page, He's just a trouble maker, he was the same when he was younger, always popping up where he shouldnt be. It wasnt me who sang dirty songs, my mum would have washed my mouth out with carbolic soap.

Good win for England, but they will need to play better if they are going to be a force in next years world cup.Watching the game on T V I was not impressed by their second half display they where fortuante to come out with a win but we will take it.

Just got back from Sydney (300km), where I watched Australia beat Uzbekistan(who?)2-0 to virtually guarantee qualification to the World Cup in South Africa. Around 60,000 crowd and a great occasion for Aussie Sport.

Australia play football? I thought they were all peanut kickers.

Big game this weekend Yvonne, hope Villa can do us a favour and knock of Ferguson and his Manchester united crowd.

Ron Ratchford said...

Ahh Anonymous you obviously don't watch the premier league where Aussies are well represented. The likes of Tim Cahill at Everton, Mark Schwarzer at Fulham, the West Ham captain Lucas Neil etc etc. In fact there are around 150 football players plying their trade in overseas professional leagues. O'course there are other codes which figure big over here, but sport is the leading activity for our youth. It does keep them off the streets....which is not a bad thing, when I read the overseas news.

yvonneh said...

I reckon that Villa are due for a good one so I hope we beat them, miracles do happen. Ron , what about that excellent Australian goalie Villa had till he took to drink and drugs, an absolute waste, MARK BOSNICH.

yvonneh said...

Whats a peanut kicker? I thought they were squirrels. Do peanuts grow in australia|?
Well done the aussies, lets hope england are as good

Ron Ratchford said...

Hi yvonneh, I guess the reference to peanuts was in regard to the two rugby codes and aussie rules, all of which get bigger press than the true football. Its all to do with the shape of the ball o'course. But just for general information football has the biggest participation rate of all of the codes in oz, in fact more than the others totalled together. But it's seen as a 'migrant' sport and therefore doesn't score so highly in the mainstream media. But its changing. As for Mark Bosnich, he has played for Central Coast in the Professional A-League, but didn't manage a full time contract. He commentates on the football shows and is trying to improve his image. Incidentally Robbie Fowler of Liverpool fame has just signed on for next season for North Queensland team in the A-league

Great game Yvonne, you guys are so unlucky, you outplayed the Red Devils for most of the game and have to loose like that,my heart goes out to you and Villa fans, sometime there is no justice and football can be so cruel.

Sorry Ron couldnt help you, no matter how much we tried. thanks for the supporting words Tom, we played well but couldnt stop the goal in injury time. I feel quite miserable, been at the hospital all day as Kens blood count was 7 he was totally exhausted so the gave him a blood transfusion 3 litres of blood, He looks a bit better but he is sleeping at the moment. this site is certainly my saviour.

Hi Yvonne, sorry to hear about poor Ken,He sure has a rough time of it lets hope he improves quickly and you can get back to harrasing Jim,I am sure he is missing you.I just watched the Man u game with Porto again they where lucky they will have their work cut out for them next week away game.

jim davis said...

Tom if you get a boil on your butt, it is not very nice. But you do miss it when it isn't there any more.

jim davis said...

Yvonne your Ken must have the inner strength of a lion to keep on taking all these setbacks. Give him my regards, and you take care. Jim.

yvonneh said...

Thanks tom and Jim for your kind words, I dont know how he puts up with being in constant pain, he is on three different types of morphine plus other painkillers, but he doesnt get much respite. How he stands and walks albeit a few steps, with a broken hip, amazes me and the Doctors, but he still perserveers, always says there are people worse off than him.
Watcing Arsenal at the moment , good match. you are right about man u They certainly have got lady luck on their side.

yvonneh said...

Oh my god!!!!!Villa have let West Ham beat them. a 1-1 draw at home. Barry will be off soon.

LEICESTER, are there

jim davis said...

George & Yvonne what I would like to know is, with all the football teams there are in London. How on earth could you two west Londoners support teams north of Watford? A word like traitors comes to mind.

yvonneh said...

I have been indoctrinated over 48 years of being married to a brum. If you cant beat them join them

Tommy said...

georgek said...

Jim,what is a bory?,as for brylcream, did you know you can now get it as a thickening gel,I ask you, what will they think of next to get a man excited?!!!.I dont have to use it as my hair is still thick and black, not many grey ones and Joan is very jealous, she says she is the one that does all the worrying, who am I to argue,I am just a man.

jim davis said...

It is a typo George, as if you don't do them. You will now have to take extra care as I will be watching'

I just watched a game between Poland and Italy. When the ref blew his whistle at the end of the first half the Poles thought the game was over and left. The Italians won on a penalty shootout in extra time. Del.

I miss out on a lot of sport as the time diff is a real pain, plus no one here is interested in footy, it's all girly rounders or male netball.

But I can catch up with the footy results, ala "Match of the Day" Singaporean stylie, presented by the gorgeous Jamie Yeo, check her out on the net guys, purrrr.

Golf coverage is not too bad from home but from the US, forget it, too late to watch here and I can't watch the highlights as I'm too busy with my boys. Life can be a bitch sometimes. Hehehe.
